Blue Moon – an Odd Installment

by     2 Comments    Posted under: On The Art of Authoring

I started work on the next Blue Moon installment – I finished Choose early so I have some play time.

I had a strange concept for what I wanted to happen next in Blue Moon. I’m in sort of an in-between phase – the next time we see the girls, they’ll be on their way to the Blue Moon, so I’ve got a time jump.

In a novel, I’d have to cut this bit. The story flows just fine without it, and it’s got an odd Point of View that doesn’t really match with the rest of the story.

So why add it?

Because it’s fun.

It’s interesting, at least in part because it is so different. As a writer, it’s fun to write this stuff – to follow a hairbrained idea and see where it leads.

As a reader, it’s kinda fun to see that stuff. I’m viewing the webserials as being “The Director’s Cut” of what would normally go into a novel.

Hopefully my readers feel the same way. <3

Quick Edit : It’s not posted yet – I’m still working on the ending.

  • Oh, now that’s cool: I love the idea of a “director’s cut”! How…novel. ;)
