  • If you have NOT followed the link to Tami’s review, GO NOW. DO IT. Seriously, WHY are you still here?

Then read the comments. Or if you still (STILL!?) need to be convinced, read the comments there. If that doesn’t convince you, then…why are you even here to begin with? :P

Seriously (again), Tami’s is the best review I’ve ever read of ANY product…much less one I knew going in I had NO interest in getting.

    A+ work, my dear!

    Eeek. *blush* Oh, stop, you!

I’ll admit, I was veryvery nervous with that review. It clocks in at about 6k words, and they asked for about 500. But I didn’t feel right leaving some of that information out just to save a word count!

  • The review was great! You mentioned a lot of the things I want to know when buying a gadget.

I got a little bit of a preview of eReaders when I discovered the Kindle App for my iPhone. I spent $80 on ebooks in one month, proving to me that the cost was more than just the device! It’s like being in Vegas… you’re playing with plastic betting chips, not real money. The ability to buy with a click removed me from the money, which is probably what they want. Granted, I would have spent more if I had bought those books, each was cheaper in the Kindle version than a real book, but I wouldn’t have bought all those books if I had to go to the book store for them.

I’m right there with you… the eReaders, all of them, are in the Luxury price point. With out even getting into the issue of buying digital media and the inablilty to access it with out a device, it’s just not where I’m going to spend my money right now.

Yowch, that’s a lot of accidental money! I hear you, though. I DO love that Kindle lets you preview the first few chapters before you buy. I’d end up much happier with the purchases I make that way.
