Peeking in for a quick linkfest. Actual content will be a-comin, I SWEARS it.

Me, Elsewhere

Memories Of Mom – One of my Seven Deadly Divas posts, for Mother’s Day. In which I fondly remember my mother, bowling, and math.

The Art Of Juggling Flaming Bears – Another SDD post, this one subtly explaining why I’ve been nearly absent from the internet. Twitter, I miss you! *sob*

10. Secrets With Sharp Edges – The most recent Choose installment (Very Very Long. You have been warned!) In Which Jinn Gets Perturbed, Gideon’s Eyes Gleam, Snow Reveals Her Secret, Bones Gives The Perfect Gift, And Remora Still Doesn’t Buy Groceries.

To Be Continued … – the follow-up for the installment, explaining that I’d be on hiatus from further installments until such time as I finish editing the second volume.

People Who Aren’t Me, Also Elsewhere

A Warning : Amelia To Cheska – Bre, my letter game penpal, lobs the ball into my court with her return letter. Amelia’s in a bit of a hurry, but she sends Cheska a warning about the mysterious symbol the girls keep encountering. Will the warning be too late, I wonder?

The Daily Show, Follow-up on NDT – Neil deGrasse Tyson, for those who don’t know him, is one of the most intelligent and easiest-to-listen-to “smart guys” I’ve encountered. He specializes in physics and Things Involving Space, and is commonly known as “the guy who killed Pluto”. This is a short Daily Show clip from the day AFTER he appeared on the Daily Show … he apparently didn’t leave the set until after he’d solved the rubix cube in his goodie bag from the show. <3

Green Apple EBooks – A small-town bookstore goes bigtime, offering ebooks at the same prices as the movers and the shakers of the ebook world. LOVE and ADORE this eye to the future – and you can’t argue with the sock puppet introduction to ebooks. “GOoOoOoOogly books.”

Photoshopped Animal Of The Day – The Flying Spider Monkey. Adorable and creepy, all at the same time. <3

  • Loved the Daily Show bit!* I’m not a fan of the show, although some bits are great (and I wish I’d known NDT was going to be on, as I am a big fan of his).

What got me though, was Jon Stewart’s comment that Dr. Tyson is rumored to be a possibility as the next head of NASA. Oh my stars, please let it be true! (The only person who would be a better choice is Carl Sagan, but unfortunately, he died in 1996.)

    * Which is not to say I didn’t appreciate and enjoy the other links. FINALLY added 7DD to my feed reader.
Steve Hall´s last post ..An Article A Month

    • The fact that NDT can keep MY interest (someone who does not, in general, give much thought to space) really says a lot about his personability. Personableness. (Really? “personableness” is the right word?)

I loved the “bat signal” bit. *laughs*
