Reading the first volume of Choose was akin to having a childhood friend show up at your home with freshly torn, dirty jeans and a big grin on her face as she dragged you outside, telling you that you won’t believe what she found in the forest behind your house.

Reading the second volume of Choose is like standing next to her by an impact crater (she’s still grinning) with a freaking space ship down inside it as you wonder just what in the hell she’s gotten you into.

It’s everything that was in Volume 1 but taken off the deep end as characters develop, plots thicken and teas…well, teas are drunk.

While set in a steampunk world, “Choose” does not smother the reader with its genre: Steampunk is part of the world, giving background and color. And the characters are driven, in large part, by the readers of the web serial: Each major plot twist or new character was determined by vote of the readers; hence the title. [ ... ]

“Choose” is a wonderful, light-hearted romp that will have you begging for more.

CHOOSE combines elements of steampunk, fantasy, and wonderful adventure in a manner to please teens and adults alike. Taven Moore’s style is light and refreshing–like cold lemonade on a warm summer day. The pacing is quick, and the excitement is ever-present.

Choose is an amazing adventure – not just for the characters, but for the author and readers who actively decide the fate and pastry of those characters. Three thumbs up!
